How do I clone a generic list in C#?
c#, clone, generics, list
Solution
You can use an extension method.
static class Extensions
{
public static IList<T> Clone<T>(this IList<T> listToClone) where T: ICloneable
{
return listToClone.Select(item => (T)item.Clone()).ToList();
}
}
Problem
I have a generic list of objects in C#, and wish to clone the list. The items within the list are cloneable, but there doesn't seem to be an option to do `list.Clone()`. Is there an easy way around this?
