Android: apply arbitrary transform to a view

Solution
In the end, I created my own layout based on AbsoluteLayout, added a Matrix to my LayoutParams, leveraged getChildStaticTransformation, and overrode dispatchTouchEvent in order for my child to respond to the correct bounds when rotated. A lot more difficult than I anticipated.

Problem
I'd like to take an arbitrary Matrix and apply it to an android.views.View. The only reliable way I've found is this hack: ``` MyAnimation animation = new MyAnimation(matrix); animation.setDuration(0); animation.setFillAfter(true); view.setAnimation(animation); ``` Is there a better way? I tried leveraging getChildStaticTransformation and putting it in a parent, but that wasn't working out (maybe I was doing it wrong?)
