Combining first two columns and turn it into row names in R data.frame

 rownames(dat) <- do.call(paste,c(dat[c("Probes","Gene.symbol")],sep="-"))
 dat <- dat[,!names(dat) %in% c("Probes","Gene.symbol")] 
 dat

Result:
