I created an app that calls the `onPause()` when the back button is pressed. First, completely remove the `onBackPressed()`. Then, try inserting the following code into your `onKeyDown()` as follows. (if you don't have a such a method already. Just copy past the following code)

```
public boolean onKeyDown(int keyCode, KeyEvent event) {

if(keyCode == KeyEvent.KEYCODE_BACK)
    {
            moveTaskToBack(true);
            return true;
    }

// your other related codes
}
```
